Your children were born before 2019

If your children were born before 2019, there is no change in the payment of the Groeipakket as long as there is no change in the parenting situation (e.g. a child joins the family, a child leaves the family) or in parental authority. A parent leaving the family does not constitute a change in the parenting situation.

Are you divorced with co-parenting? Then the parent who received the Groeipakket before the divorce will now continue to receive the Groeipakket. Entitlement to the social allowance is examined in this parent's family.

Does one of the parents have sole parental authority? The parent with sole parental authority always receives the Groeipakket. Entitlement to the social allowance is only examined in this parent's family.

Always inform your payment fund of changes in your family situation.

You have children born from 2019 onwards or the parenting situation of your children born before 2019 changes

With co-parenting, both parents are beneficiaries of the Groeipakket. It does not matter which parent the child is domiciled with. The parents choose together on which account the Groeipakket will be paid. If they disagree, the youngest parent decides. Is there a ruling governing the payment of the Groeipakket? Send it to your payment fund.

For the social allowance, your payment fund assumes equally divided housing in the case of co-parenting. This means that your child stays equally with each parent. Entitlement to the social allowance is then examined separately in each parent's family. Each parent can only get half of the social allowance if entitled to it. Is the housing arranged differently? Then send the ruling to your payment fund.

Does one of the parents have sole parental authority? The parent with sole parental authority always receives the Groeipakket. The right to a social allowance is only examined in the family of this parent.

Always inform your payment fund of changes in your family situation.
