Who pays the support allowance?

Do you already receive a Groeipakket in Flanders? Your Groeipakket payment fund will automatically pay the support allowance if your child is entitled to it.

FONS, the public payment fund

Do you not yet receive a Groeipakket in Flanders, but did you previously receive the basic support budget? If so, the public payment fund FONS will start paying the support allowance. You then have 3 months to choose another payment fund, if you wish.

Do you not yet receive a Groeipakket in Flanders and did you not yet receive the basic support budget, but does your child meet the conditions for the support allowance? Then you have to apply for the support allowance at one of the five Groeipakket payment funds.
