If your child is enrolled in a school abroad, you may often still be entitled to a Groeipakket.

Children studying in another EEA country or in Switzerland have the same rights as children in Flanders. There is further entitlement to a Groeipakket if the child:

  • attends non-higher or higher education recognised by the country where the child studies
  • attends at least 17 hours of lessons per week in non-higher education.

In other countries you may also still be entitled to the Groeipakket in certain cases.

These regulations are complex. Contact your Groeipakket payment fund to find out what you are entitled to in your situation.
