Your child was born before 2019

Did your child start living with your ex-partner before 2019? As long as there is no change in the child's parenting situation or parental authority, there is no change in the payment of the Groeipakket. A change in the parenting situation is, for example, an additional child joining the family.

Has your child recently (or after 31 December 2018) started living with your ex-partner? Then that is considered a change in the parenting situation. This may affect the payment of the Groeipakket. Contact your payment fund to find out what you are entitled to in your situation.

Does one of the parents have sole parental authority? The parent with sole parental authority always receives the Groeipakket. Entitlement to the social allowance is only examined in this parent's family.

Always inform your payment fund of changes in your family situation.

With co-parentingboth parents are beneficiaries of the Groeipakket. It does not matter which parent the child is domiciled with. The parents choose together on which account the Groeipakket will be paid. If they disagree, the youngest parent decides. Is there a ruling governing the payment of the Groeipakket? Send it to your payment fund.

For the social allowance, your payer assumes equally divided housing in the case of co-parenting. This means that your child stays equally with each parent. The right to the social allowance is then examined separately in each parent's family. Each parent can only get half of the social allowance if they are entitled to it. Is the housing arranged differently? Then send the ruling to your payment fund.
