How long does it take to process an application?

On average, the time between the submission of the questionnaires to the parent(s) to the notification of the decision to the parent(s) and the payment fund was 297 days at the end of July 2022.

Average time (end of July 2022):

For an initial application: 391 days.
For a revision: 223 days.
For a revision on demand: 364 days.

The length of time it takes parents to collect and transmit all the necessary information to Opgroeien varies between 4 and 8 months. An application is not ready to be evaluated until Opgroeien has received all the necessary information. From then on, Opgroeien aims to process an evaluation within a 3-month period. This commitment applies to all applications submitted from 1 October 2022 onwards.
